Digg It, Mixx It, Is it worth it? (Thing 12)

So, I'm not really sold on Digg, Mixx, etc.

Although, I did find a really interesting article at the New York Times:

I really don't see this Web 2.0 tool enhancing my personal use of the Internet.

When we are teaching students the skills to evaluate websites, I cringe just a little at a site that students might assume evaluation has taken place by someone else through a voting or rating system. It might be a useful tool once those critical thinking skill have been sharpened through practice.
